Although every day is a new beginning, there is something about seeing the calendar turn to a new year that feels like a more concrete opportunity to start fresh. As you settle back into your day-to-day routine, it can be easy to lose sight of the resolutions you've made or goals you've set for this year.

So, we've compiled a few of our favorite tips to help you stick to your 2016 goals. .

  1. Identify no more than 2-5 resolutions that you know you can stick to. For example, instead of resolving to head to the gym 6 days/week, stick to 3-4 days. This will make those extra days that you do go more even more rewarding, and you will feel less guilty about not making it happen those weeks when life gets hectic.
  2. Write down your resolutions and put them on display! Take your favorite pen, a clean piece of paper, and use your best handwriting to lay your goals in one place. If you're feeling extra motivated, hang your goals on your refrigerator or frame them and put them on your nightstand or some place where you will see them every day.
  3. Make a bucket list! Sometimes resolutions can seem overwhelming and less than fun. Sit down and make a list of all of the things you want to do, places you want to see, and goals you want to accomplish this year. Always wanted to go skydiving? Make this the year! Been meaning to go on a road trip with your best friend for a weekend? Add it to the calendr! Write down all of the things you always say you want to do and start crossing them off of the list one by one.
